Sundancer is a vibrant hostel, perfect for long-term stays with a friendly atmosphere and great facilities like a pool and gaming options. While the location is excellent for meeting new friends and finding work, the internet situation could be challenging and some rooms may lack space. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot for those looking to settle in Fremantle while still enjoying a social vibe.

My stay at Sundancers was a mix of highs and lows. On one hand, the staff was incredibly welcoming, creating a friendly and home-like atmosphere that made me feel comfortable right away. The hostel has a great communal vibe, with a bar, pool, and plenty of opportunities to socialize. However, the room we stayed in was cramped and not very clean, and we were disappointed by the limited internet access. Overall, it’s a decent choice if you’re on a budget, but it could definitely use some improvements.

I had quite an experience at this hostel. On the positive side, the kitchen was huge and well-equipped, and I loved the free bagels and BBQ on Tuesdays. Unfortunately, it felt a bit like a long-term living situation rather than a typical hostel, which made meeting other travelers difficult. The cleanliness was a major issue as well, with some areas feeling neglected. Overall, I appreciated what they offered, but it didn't meet my expectations for a hostel atmosphere.

6.4/10

I had a mixed experience at this hostel. On one hand, the social atmosphere was lively and I met some great people. However, the noise levels at night and issues with cleanliness were significant drawbacks. If you're looking for a party vibe and don't mind the chaos, it could be a good choice, but it's not ideal for those wanting peace and quiet.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was reasonably spacious, but cleanliness was inconsistent, especially compared to other areas I visited.
Service
7.0
The staff were mostly friendly and the manager had a great sense of humor. However, I sometimes felt that some were not as attentive as they could be.
Location
8.0
The hostel is in a good spot for finding work and meeting people in the area, which was a plus for me. It's close to amenities and transport, making it convenient for exploring.
Dining
5.0
While the kitchen was large, it was often chaotic and I found it tough to find space or the right utensils to cook.
Facilities
6.0
There were fun amenities like a pool and games area, which added to the social aspect. However, I found the internet facilities could use an upgrade as they felt slow and often crowded.

My stay at this backpackers was quite the adventure! The atmosphere was vibrant, and I made some lifelong friends during my three months here. The central location is a huge plus, as everything from the beach to nightlife is just a short walk away. But be warned, the facilities do get a bit hectic, especially the kitchen during peak hours, which can be messy at times. Overall, it's a great spot if you're looking to immerse yourself in a communal living experience.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were decent but could use a little more attention to cleanliness, especially with so many guests around.
Service
6.0
The service varied quite a bit; some staff were super helpful while others seemed a bit aloof, especially at night.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic, right in the heart of everything, making it easy to find things to do.
Dining
Facilities
7.0
The facilities are generally good, but the kitchen can get crowded and messy given the number of long-term guests.
